Towards the end of 2018, I was quietly dropshipping with success and Shopify itself (the actual company) noticed my sales dashboards. They invited me for an interview with Oberlo and featured it on their website. This, along with people inside Facebook groups finding I was very knowledgeable with dropshipping, led to the creation of my YouTube channel & teaching others.
In the summer of 2019, I decided to launch my first paid info product and use YouTube ads to promote it. This ended up being a huge failure. None of my students were succeeding, and I couldn’t gain new interest because nobody could vouch for me.
I tried so many different marketing angles and split tests, but nothing I did with marketing was working.
That’s when I realized that my marketing wasn’t the main issue.
So I scrapped the original info product and decided to focus on duplicating success for other people. I decided to just release free material on YouTube closer to November 2019. And despite YouTube not being an optimal learning environment, people were actually hitting success!
I was excited because I experienced and felt something new…
Something amazing that just can’t be explained easily but I’ll try. When you make money for yourself, it feels great. Especially if it’s a lot of money. Dropshipping is fun.
But knowing that I made a huge difference in someone else’s life…
Just the feeling of knowing that makes a difference in my own life. I feel grateful that people credit me. I feel alive. I feel like I’ve found my own mission.
So that’s what I do now. I try to help as many people as possible, and I’ve found the best way to do that is through sharing what has made me successful on video.
